The Out-of-Door Academy, along with the Taylor Emmons Foundation, is proud to announce the selection of the sixth Emmons Memorial Scholar, Joshua “JJ” Easto.
JJ, who excels in school, is currently an 8th grade student at R. Dan Nolan Middle School in Bradenton. While enjoying all sports, football is his favorite and he is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. JJ plays the guitar and enjoys music. His favorite bands are AC/DC and The Beatles.
He comes from a caring family, which includes his parents, Josh and Melanie, sister Marisa, and brother Jackson. “I want to be a musician, football player, cartoonist, activist, mentor, scholar, author, coach, food critic, and the list goes on,” said JJ.
He enjoyed visiting Out-of-Door and is ready to tackle both the benefits and challenges of the rigorous college preparatory program offered at ODA. JJ will join the Class of 2020 in August of 2016. The Out-of-Door Academy proudly welcomes JJ and the Easto Family!
